Key Experience:

Prior buying experience in Electronics and/or Semiconductors

You will be working as a Senior Buyer for a Market Leading company that specialises in the manufacture of innovative optical and photonic products enabling optical networking and commercial laser customers worldwide.

As a Senior Buyer you will be a self-motivated professional who is an expert in Oracle for day-to-day purchasing activities. You will be required to work closely with internal and external customers on processing and placing PO's. This is a customer orientated position, you will be required to ensure you guide the company on best practices in the areas of Supplier Development, Global Commodity, Lean Purchasing and technology driven innovation.

This position will include:

• Review all PR's prior to processing to ensure cost savings are made

• Process and maintain indirect and direct PO

• Work closely with internal customers on all BPO

• Capital equipment will require you to work closely with category managers

• Work with AP and suppliers on all invoice holds

• Data management, maintaining the supplier list

Your accountability:

• PO Process turnaround and past due orders

• Tracking shipments and working directly with the logistics team

• Working with Sox compliance and auditors

• Acknowledging orders

• Clearing AP Holds

• Expediting

Requirements:

• 6+ years' experience in Global Purchasing in a related field

• 6+ years' experience MRP Experience

• Oracle expertise

• Prior buying experience in Electronics and/or Semiconductors

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or at least a related field with major coursework in Supply Chain Management or equivalent

• Experience with Root Cause determination through Oracle tools and reporting

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel - Manipulating data, exporting, and extracting data for the purpose of report creation

• PowerPoint and Agile knowledge
