The Senior Infrastructure Architect will act as part of a team that defines the solutions architecture for a pre-sales proposal. The system is a high security, complex system with numerous applications. It is a technical role requiring an understanding of infrastructure configuration, software packages and infrastructure builds.
Key responsibilities:
Working with the Pre-sales Solution architects to map out the technical architecture required to deliver the business requirements
The Senior Solutions Architect will have good working knowledge of Process, Information and Technology disciplines.
Ability to define and analyse user requirements and advise the pre-sales team on scope and options and improvements.
Ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Prepares and delivers briefings and presentations for project teams, management and customers as appropriate.
Development and production of the High level design
Industry best practice in the business/solutions architecture space
Produce solution architecture
Define solution performance and specify requirements
Produce stakeholder focused models of the solution
Produce detailed high level design models in Archimate
Define overall solution architecture test approach / strategy
Define overall solution architecture acceptance test criteria
Production of an Archimate model to capture the design
Key Skills:
Thick/Thin client infrastructure designs
Migration from Win 7 to Win 10
Understanding of the impact of security on Infrastructure design
Infrastructure Architecture and Design Knowledge
Archimate modelling
Active Directory and authentication
Desirable Skills:
Remote clients over a slow and intermittent network
