A Senior Java Developer with strong core Java coding skills is required to join a Global FTSE 50 Data Analytics company.
You will be a key member of an Agile scrum squad responsible for developing clean, robust software code used for delivering containerised Spring Cloud micro-services and React User Interfaces.

Role: Senior Java Developer
As Senior Java Developer you will be responsible for:
+ Delivering reliable working software into a continuous delivery pipeline to achieve sprint goals
+ Using the latest in enterprise technologies and taking a best of bread approach to agile processes
+ Playing a significant role in the success of the Scrum team, promoting continuous improvement, working closely with the Product Manager and collaborating effectively with stakeholders
+ Ensuring team engineering processes (coding best practice, reviews etc.) and Agile processes are being followed and evolved
+ Working closely with Technical architects and ensure application of industry standard design patterns
+ Coaching and mentoring junior team members
+ Supporting the live service as needed
As Senior Java Developer you will have experience of:
+ Degree qualified or equivalent in Software Engineering / Computer Science or other relevant technical discipline
+ Strong Core Java coding skills (Java 8)
+ Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices especially in relation to developing code to be managed through CI/CD pipelines
+ Knowledge and practical experience of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban) including supporting backlog refinement and estimations
+ Strong Spring Boot / Spring Cloud
+ Experience with services / APIs and microservices architecture (REST/Json, Swagger)
+ Previous experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM)
+ CI / CD (Jenkins, Spinnaker)
+ Previous experience of Containers (e.g. Docker) and any container platform technology (e.g. Kubernetes, ECS etc.)
