Position Summary and Responsibilities
Lead a team of Category Managers with responsibility for all Indirect Spend in Chelmsford and providing support for cross-UK requirements.
Work closely with Internal Stakeholders across a broad range of categories, identifying Procurement requirements and approach.
Own and lead Indirect Procurement Strategy for Chelmsford, including saving and supplier reduction plans.
Manage supply base, assessing suitability for the businesses long term requirement.
Ensure robust Request for Information / Request for Proposal and supplier selection processes.
Review and benchmark supplier responses to RFI's / RFP's to enable strong supplier recommendations that take into account commercial, technical and quality requirements.
Ensuring relevant contracting and costing strategies are implemented to achieve best possible value for money.
Establish contracts and framework agreements to ensure security of supply, including SLAs and KPIs.
Qualifications
Significant Procurement experience, with broad Indirect Procurement knowledge.
Significant experience in reviewing and drafting Contracts and supporting documentation.
Key Supplier Relationship Management skills, with tangible examples of driving value.
Experience in managing people, change and ongoing Procurement maturity.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject would be advantageous.
CIPS qualifications would be advantageous, relevant experience will also be considered.
MS Office proficient - Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio, PowerPoint.
