Senior Software Developer

A Senior Software Developer with strong Java coding skills is required to join an Agile squad working with the latest enterprise technologies at a global data analytics company.

Role: Senior Software Developer

As Senior Software Developer you will be responsible for:

+ Delivering reliable working software into a continuous delivery pipeline to achieve sprint goals
+ Playing a significant role in the success of the Scrum team, promoting continuous improvement, working closely with the Product Manager and collaborating effectively with stakeholders
+ Working closely with the Product Owner continuously delivering containerised Spring Cloud micro-services and React User Interfaces
+ Ensuring team engineering processes (coding best practice, reviews etc.) and Agile processes are being followed and evolved
+ Working closely with Technical architects and ensure application of industry standard design patterns
+ Coaching and mentoring junior team members

Experience:
As Senior Software Developer you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in Software Engineering / Computer Science or other relevant discipline
+ Strong Java coding skills
+ Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices especially in relation to developing code to be managed through CI/CD pipelines
+ Experience with services / APIs and microservices architecture (REST/Json, Swagger)
+ Javascript Frameworks - React or other relevant experience e.g. Angular 1, 2
+ Knowledge and practical experience of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
+ TDD / BDD Testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, Gherkin / Cucumber and a mocking framework)
+ MongoDB or experience of other NoSQL databases
+ Experience of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM) would be an advantage
