Senior Supply Chain Manager
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000pa
A global aerospace and defence organisation are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager be leading and managing a team of Material Delivery Supply Chain staff and Managerial personnel in the delivery of the Supply Chain Functional Strategy and Plan, specifically in support of the Area/General Manager.
This role will provide you with an opportunity to develop supporting strategy within the MD team for delivery of Transformation CI behaviours, ensuring mechanisms are in place at the appropriate level, capturing potential CI benefits and gaining sponsorship from the Business improvement team.
Responsibilities - Senior Supply Chain Manager
Ensure that all team strategies / activities are aligned to the company's vision, values and key objectives
Actively promote SCMD and PDR compliance to ensure that performance and behaviours are conducive to the delivery of the team's performance targets
Establish, manage and control all associated labour working in consultation with key stakeholders
Ensure direct reports work collaboratively across the Functions to resolve problems and achieve objectives and high standards of performance
Establish and maintain effective team(s), ensuring clear goals are set and appraised. Facilitate a culture which is attuned to the company's values.
Ensure the team delivers relevant targets by regularly reviewing, reporting on progress and resolving issues
Lead, develop and firmly embed engagement and communication strategies in order to ensure team, customer and stakeholder participation
Lead the team to actively seek out and identify risks to and opportunities for improvement, implementing as appropriate
Support the ongoing development of the Supply Chain MD through the implementation of Business Improvement Techniques to ensure the long term benefits of our manufacturing customers
Skills and qualifications - Senior Supply Chain Manager
Significant experience within Material Planning, Supply Chain / Availability at a senior level
Management, leadership and business executive skills
A sound understanding of Capability and learning interventions, best practice lean tools and techniques and fundamental principles
A deep understanding of the introduction and implementation of modern lean techniques and their application across the product lifecycle
A proven track record of working within Lean environments and an ability to use this experience to deliver tangible business improvement
