A highly, reputable organisation specialising in providing outstanding care for children and young adults with autism, learning disabilities and those who may display behavioural challenges, are seeking an experience senior support worker to join their friendly, growing team.

Core Responsibilities - Senior Support Worker

As the Senior Support Worker you will support the management to run a successful staff team and all day to day operations of the home, whilst ensuring the highest standards of care in relation to the children's physical, behavioural and emotional needs.

Other duties include:

  • Team Leading
  • Shift Leading
  • Supporting young people to do their favourite things and try new activities at home and also outdoor activities. These include swimming and going on annual vacation.
  • Providing high quality care to young people (including personal care)
  • Report writing

Requirements - Senior Support Worker

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social care (ideally children & young adults)
  • Experience working with children or young adults with autism and multiple learning disabilities, who may display challenging behaviour
  • Substantial experience working as a Senior/Team leader in residential care and extensive experience working in a support environment
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal English
