Job Description
Key duties and responsibilities:
Working closely with the Portfolio Delivery teams to ensure that any new or changes to Product & Services undergo mandatory Testing Activities before being transitioned into Operations.
Developing and co-ordinating the tests, including selecting the test approaches, estimates the time, effort and cost of testing, Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
Expert: Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
Providing test evidence/test reports to DXC customers on the outcome of UAT and OAT test phases, where contractually required
Essential Skills
Working closely with the Portfolio Delivery teams to ensure that any new or changes to Product & Services undergo mandatory Acceptance Testing (UAT / OAT) activities before being transitioned into Operations.
Deliverables - supports definition and creation of Project Test Strategies where projects are defined as churn or simple to medium complexity. Where projects sit outside of this rating may be required to work alongside assigned Test Consultant to support the creation of testing solutions and test strategies, and other test deliverables for programmes or large projects.
Creates project-based estimates, using designated estimation tools and other test collateral, (Test Plans, test schedule, test reports etc), based on known/assumed scope and execution activities
Candidate must have an Infrastructure Testing Industry Background
Candidate must be able to demonstrate what their differentiator is
Ability to write lengthy procedural, step-based narrative test materials including the necessary testbed set-up steps
