+ 6 month initial contract

The Role:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with developers and non-developers alike and you'll thrive using agile methods and enjoy working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams. You will understand a client's overall vision, work with them to meet their roadmap, help address pain points internally and from an end-user perspective, lead the development of software to meet user requirements and acceptance criteria, whilst conforming to time and budget constraints.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

In an Agile engagement, you'll take a lead within a team for developing the project deliverables from the backlog. Day-to-day you will be responsible for working with the team to estimate, design, create and improve new and existing products, platforms and transactions. You will help ensure that the web product is developed to the agreed quality, is consistent with the mobile versions of the product, and integrates with the back end platform. You will take a lead in ensuring the productivity and development of the team and mentor junior members.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Advanced ability to develop modern Web applications, >6 years of relevant experience

  • React-JS

  • HTML

  • CSS

  • Javascript

  • Integration with APIs via REST and JSON

  • Junit or equivalent

  • Experience of product development using agile methodologies - Scrum, Kanban, TDD

  • Configuration via Git/Github

  • DevOps CI/CD

  • Collaboration via Confluence / Jira

  • Understands accessibility / end user experience

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

  • Media sector experience.

  • Experience of mobile, cloud (AWS)

  • Databases such SQL Server, MongoDB

  • Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio) and development of tool add-ins.

  • Understanding of how CMS systems work (E.g. Sitecore)
