Field Service Engineer

Predominantly Essex, Kent, London with some requirement to travel nationally

Offering £27,000 basic plus excellent benefits (see below)

A leading manufacturer of high value, critical care, medical equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer.

This is a diverse role overseeing service contracts for specialist critical care products and carrying out planned preventative maintenance and repairs.

As a specialist engineer your role will also involve the training and development of other engineers as well as being the point of contact for 3rd line technical support.

Your may also be required to carry out other engineering duties for the company e.g. auditing engineering works, maintaining vans etc.

You will also work side by side with the Research and Development department in the design of new products.

As the field-based service engineer you will be required to travel customer sites, predominantly in the Essex, Kent and London areas with flexibility to also travel nationally on occasions (approx 2 times a month on average).

The ideal location would be Harlow however applicants living in Northern Sussex (Crawley), North West Kent, Essex (near London) and South Cambridgeshire (as far north as Stanstead) would be considered.

Requirements:

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering background (minimum 3 years)

  • Excellent customer facing skills

  • Positive, "can do attitude" with the confidence to lead teams on engineering projects

  • Driving licence - manual
