Shift Equipment Technicians x 2
Engineering Technicians - working in a Semiconductor company
£25k + 35% shift allowance
Shift 4 on/4 off (2 days and 2 nights)
Northampton based
KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Equipment Engineering rotating shift support
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Equipment Engineering technical support for the Wafer Fab, Pilot Line &Test
- First line response for Equipment issues and PMs and work to the priorities agreed with the Senior Equipment Engineer/ Department Manager
- First line Equipment response for Safety Hazards, Fire, Smoke and Gas Detection Alarm activations, in line with current EHS practices, reducing the number of callouts for Standby Engineers
- Complete low-level PM's on bottleneck equipment to minimise downtime during production shifts.
- Portable Appliance Testing
- Chemical/ Parts shortages, Chemical fills, waste management
- Preparation work for PMs and Cleans
- To progress and continue repairing down tools and key improvement projects handed over from the previous shift
- Assisting Equipment Engineers in repair and preventative maintenance of processing equipment
- Assist experienced Engineers with lower level projects, allowing them to focus on higher level issues.
- Generate and communicate plans for down tools within their reporting area and provide end of shift handover
- Assist with logistics projects. E.g. Equipment Relocation, cleanroom reorganization
JOB CHALLENGES:
- Maintain Equipment availability to a maximum
- Complete Key Equipment PM's out of hours
- Provide Equipment Engineering continuity between shifts
- Promotion of good teamwork between all areas to fully utilise all of the resources at our disposal
- Able to carry out a wide range of low level duties according to documented procedures without close supervision
QUALIFICATIONS:
- HNC in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering
EXPERIENCE:
- Equipment Technician in light mechanical, electrical or electronics field (Semiconductor/ Pharmaceutical manufacturing)
- Previous experience working within a cleanroom
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Practical hands on maintenance skills
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of PROMIS an advantage
- Microsoft Office experience
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Good team worker
- Ability to work with minimum of supervision
- Self-motivated
- Good standard of written and spoken English is essential
MISCELLANEOUS:
- Continental Shift working is required
- Willing to work overtime as required
- Forklift driving will be required (training will be given)
