I am recruiting a Simulator Support Engineer with experience installing and supporting software releases and upgrades for flight simulator equipment to join a global Aerospace company with an innovative, technical product.

Role: Simulator Support Engineer

As Simulator Support Engineer you will be responsible for:

+ Updating computers, avionic systems, visual and various other systems on on specialist simulation equipment
+ Hands on interaction with multiple software and hardware platforms
+ Hardware setup and integration
+ Software scripting, debugging and integration
+ Thorough understanding of configuration management systems, hardware interfaces, and software development
+ Coordinate and review technical/operational deliverables prior to submission to customer
+ Customer Reviews (support formal reviews with customers as required by assigned project)

Experience:

As Simulator Support Engineer you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in Software Engineering or other relevant technical discipline
+ Experience working with Real-time systems
+ Experience in scripting (bash, perl, javascript, etc.)
+ Experience in C/C++ development
+ Experience using a source code repository such as StarTeam, GIT, or Subversion
+ Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodology using tools such as JIRA or Hansoft

+ Ability to travel will be essential for this role
