Location - Gloucestershire

Salary range - £70,000 to £95,000

Our client, a Global Leader within the Defence industry have an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, within this position you'll have a blend of both technical and people management. You'll ensure the software team is supported in their professional development as well as also being a technical lead for one of our customer developments, cultivating innovation and creativity to ensure quality design and execution.

Your Responsibilities:

• Effective people management, ensuring goals are filtered down to the team and the performance of each individual is monitored

• Support the recruitment of new software engineer

• Be a Technical leader and focal point for the software development team, ensuring software is designed to the highest quality

• Hands-on development and actively contribute to the code base

• Support the Delivery / Project Lead in developing project roadmaps, delivery time scales, and communicating these to the customer

Your Experience:

• Strong People Management

• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, C++ or Python

• Database Technologies experience in SQL, Elasticsearch or MongoDB
