Sourcing Engineer - Continuous Improvement

A global leader in the aerospace industry is looking to recruit a Sourcing Engineer who will be managing continuous improvement activities for the Sourcing department.
Key accountabilities - Sourcing Engineer
+ Utilise data from tools such as the expediting report and other relevant sources, review and propose continuous improvement projects for action within Sourcing or cross functionally.
+ Support cross-functional project teams/team members as-needed to improve processes, provide project intervention and coaching, etc.
+ Work closely with the Sourcing team and suppliers to ensure adoption of best practice in procurement and SAP usage.
+ Lead and facilitate process walkthroughs, Value Stream Maps, and use other Lean tools for the appropriate functional areas to identify areas for improvement and the propose projects to action an improvement
+ Drive and standardise the concept of "Continuous Improvement" internally, at suppliers, and across the business.
Skills and knowledge required - Sourcing Engineer
+ 3+ years Sourcing experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
+ Engineering knowledge and experience
+ Familiar with manufacturing methods and models
+ Supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Strong track record of managing procurement projects
+ Good understanding of Procurement processes and best practice approaches
+ Able to effectively use Lean tools like Value Stream Maps, Process Diagrams, Root Cause Analysis
+ Strong with SAP based data analysis
+ Graduate level of education preferably in a Business, Engineering or Production-related subject or equivalent experience
