Sourcing Lead - Spare Parts

£30,000 - £40,000 - (DOE)

Based in Berkshire (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm)

A global leading managed service provider specialising in supplying engineering services to hospitals across the UK are seeking an experienced spare parts Sourcing Lead in their Diagnostic Imaging part of the business to assist with the set up of the brand-new department.

What will the role be doing?

As the Sourcing Lead you will be responsible for sourcing parts and finding suppliers quickly and in the most cost-efficient way.

Key accountabilities - Sourcing Lead:

  • Establish and lead the UK and Ireland sourcing function for spare parts, including purchased and harvested inventory

  • Accountable for delivering a quality service to agreed KPIs and quality standards

  • Build and maintain supplier and internal/external customer relationships to maximise operational efficiency and profitability

  • Collaborate with Service Managers and Pricing teams to establish profitable pricing for harvested spare parts

  • Establish effective processes for communication with the Customer Care Centre (CCC), repair workshops (internal and external), warehouse and technical teams to provide parts in the most efficient way

  • Providing part supply updates to CCC, service managers and Logistics teams

  • Processing parts orders and external repairs with suppliers utilising company software platforms

  • Liaising with workshops to expedite urgent repairs and customs agents to ensure prompt delivery

  • Work with the Logistics team to support the RMA process for faulty/not used parts

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure compatibility of parts

  • Own the process for adding new parts to the parts database

  • Support Service Managers and Logistics with orders for test tools

Experience required - :

  • Previous experience in a similar role ordering/sourcing parts, finding suppliers etc.

  • Must have excellent problem solving capabilities

  • Excellent communication both written and verbal

  • Proficient IT skills


  • Basic salary of up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
