Supply Chain Manager
£50,000 - £70,000 - (DOE)
Based in Berkshire (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm)
A global leading managed service provider specialising in supplying engineering services to hospitals across the UK are seeking an experienced supply chain manager to set up a brand-new department for their Diagnostic Imaging part of the business.
What will the role be doing?
Due to this being a new role, as the supply chain manager you will be responsible for setting up processes and ensuring that everything is in place. You will also be required to present to the board.
Key accountabilities - Supply Chain Manager:
Develop, support and manage the UK and Ireland Supply Chain team of sourcing and planning specialists though effective performance management
Accountability for Customer Service Performance KPIs for parts - achievement and reporting. (Parts to site, compliance with stock lists)
Work with the procurement team to ensure suppliers are compliant with the established approval procedure
Act as the primary point of liaison within the company's supply chain for the strategic and operational improvement of supply chain parts performance
Providing support for customer tender bids and business review presentations across the UK and Ireland
Assist in the development of a part prediction (PP) tool to establish inventory levels
Production of a forecast using the PP tool - short, medium and long term forecast based on IB and parts usage history - financial forecast and item forecast
Provide expenditure reporting with targets for spend reduction across the business area
Setting up and management of usage histories and other databases to improve data prediction accuracy
Liaise with Service Managers to produce equipment harvesting targets (parts recovered from medical equipment) for the equipment sourcing manager
Ensure KPI's are being achieved
Input into repair workshop capability requirements based on installed base (IB) movement and technology roadmap
Liaison with procurement to set parts requirements for procurement agreements with OEMs and suppliers
Accountable for accurate management of parts ordering on a daily basis working with the Procurement team
Manage information and processes in Dynamics 365 and other systems for consumption of parts, return of parts etc.
Responsible for policy adherence on harvested parts costing and pricing
Production of management reports on all aspects of sourcing activity
Experience required - Supply Chain Manager:
Must have extensive supply chain management experience ideally within medical devices but this is not essential
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Logistics - Desirable
Confident at presenting
Customer and quality focused
Proficient IT skills
Package/Benefits:
Basic salary of up to £70,000 (depending on experience)
