Team Leader Service Engineering

£37,500 - £42,500 + benefits package

Territory - Scotland

A national, highly reputable organisation specialising in the installation, service, repair and maintenance of complex healthcare equipment such as hoists, assisted baths, pressure care mattresses and profiling beds, are seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer or Team Leader to join their expanding team.

Whilst managing a team of service engineers across Scotland and England, you will also remain hands on in the installation, service and repair of the aforementioned medical equipment.

This position is the perfect opportunity for a Senior Engineer who is looking to officially step into a leadership role, or for an existing leader who wishes to use their experience to progress their career in an exciting, growing organisation!

Key accountabilities include:

  • To install, service, repair and maintain a range of healthcare equipment such as patient hoists, baths, beds, shower trolleys, changing plinths, scales and various others.

  • To attend and lead regular meetings with the Service Engineering team and the Service Manager.

  • To have a lead role in training engineers.

  • To ensure compliance with various standards and requirements, including Health and Safety.

  • To liaise with the Service Coordinator on an ongoing basis regarding daily and weekly work schedules and planning for the Service Engineering team.

Experience/skills required:

  • Experience in the install, service or repair of moving and handling equipment e.g. hoists, bath hoists, assisted baths, pressure care mattresses, profiling beds etc.

  • Prior leadership experience either formally (as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager) or informally (as a Senior Engineer deputising in the absence of a Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager).

  • IT literate

  • Good customer service skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Full UK driving license

Package/benefits on offer:

  • A basic salary of £37,500 - £42,500 (dependent on experience)

  • Company van (business or personal use is optional)

  • Paid overtime (x1.5)

  • 28 days annual leave per annum, with the ability to 'buy' an additional 6 days if desired

  • A contributory pension scheme

  • Staying away allowance for nights away from home and related expenses.
