Based in Denham, Uxbridge
Up to £44,000 basic salary


A well-established engineering company continues to secure orders from around the world for their range of high technology security equipment.

As they develop new products, implements advanced technical updates and product improvements they require a Technical Author to create and update a range of technical publications, build plans and equipment documents.

You will be working on state of the art complex safety equipment and products - researching the technical requirement & compiling new publications and amendments.

Responsibilities:
Create, compile and update user guides, maintenance manuals, technical specifications and sales material
Edit and update templates including styles, page layouts, variables and tags
Research collate and verify topic content and technical accuracy
Produce artwork , images , graphics and diagrams
Compile and publish documentation

Experience/Skills Required:
Formal qualifications within an technical, engineering or scientific subject e.g. C&G
Experienced Technical Author / Writer within Engineering - ideally from a safety critical background such as Defence / Aerospace / Rail / Nuclear etc.
Current and advanced ability on Adobe Framemaker 8 , 9 , 10 or 11
Significant experience as a technical author or writer within an engineering environment
