This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing business and to help shape the future of the Airworthiness and Maintenance Planning function for a complex and varied operation encompassing business jets, tuboprops and helicopters.
As Technical Director you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, overseeing and directing the maintenance activities carried out for the European Air division.
You will drive improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance planning and control, ensuring safety, operational, customer satisfaction and financial objectives, are met or exceeded.
The Technical Director is a senior position with the leadership team with line management responsibility and accountability for the Continuing Airworthiness department and the Maintenance Planning and Control department. This will include managing any outsource partners contracted to support these functions and dealing with third party maintenance providers.
You will hold the position of Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM), the nominated post holder for continuing airworthiness. The CAM is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of all maintenance activities and will determine what maintenance is required, when it must be performed (within a defined tolerance), to what standard, and what approvals are required.
The Technical Director will report operationally to the Managing Director on day to day matters and will report directly to the Accountable Manager on regulatory matters including departmental funding.
