Territory Manager

Role: Territory Manager (Clinical Pathology)

Territory: Southwest England (occasional travel to Northern England and Ireland)

Package: Up to £45,000 + uncapped commission, plus company car, BUPA, private pension.

The company and the role:

The Territory Manager will be working for a large Laboratory Sciences and Medical Devices distributor. The Territory Manager UK (Clinical Pathology) role is a field-based commercial position with responsibility for the UK business Clinical Pathology portfolio. The main purpose of the role is to deliver on short, medium and long-term business objectives for the UK business. Ultimately the Territory Manager is responsible for ensuring that all goals & operational targets for the UK entity are achieved to optimise performance, drive growth, and deliver on our purpose for customers and suppliers.

Duties include:

  • To prioritise, plan and execute sales activities to exceed sales targets across existing and new accounts.
  • New business development.
  • Effective management of existing accounts.
  • Product demonstrations.
  • Works closely with the Divisional Sales Manager to establish & review sales & business activity targets and conducts regular forecasts.
  • Delivers an outstanding level of customer service and responds to all sales/ support enquiries in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Ensures that all stages in the sales process including all relevant customer/account/quotation details are recorded the CRM System (Salesforce).
  • Creates and maintains effective working relationships with suppliers.
  • Liaises with the SOP/Tech Op's teams to ensure smooth turnaround of capital Sales and installations (IQ/OQ).
  • Attends exhibitions, trade shows & internal/external training workshops as required.

Travel:

  • UK Field based role (Southwest England)
  • Significant UK travel and time in the field supporting and engaging with customers.
  • Some NA and EMEA travel as and when required for supplier engagement, conferences or Diploma meetings.
  • Willing to travel to Counties Tipperary twice a week

What is required to apply?

  • Experience selling into hospital laboratories (NHS or private sectors both acceptable) - essential.
  • Flexibility to travel to cover the outline territory - essential.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets - essential.
  • Knowledge of ISO15189 - beneficial
  • Scientific degree - beneficial
  • Express a strong desire to work with a team of likeminded commercially driven colleagues to grow our business - essential.
  • Excellent communication skills - essential
