Territory Manager - Division, Southwest of UK

£45-55,000 pa DOE

Plus, OTE of £25,000

A Territory Sales professional is required by our client to sell, promote, and enhance their range of Biotechnology products within the Laboratory Diagnostics and Pathology QA/QC division. This is a very busy territory with extensive opportunities for sales in both the public and private healthcare sector, and significant opportunities to enhance your reputation, and your earnings!

Their products are designed to enhance and improve quality control and assurance within a laboratory environment. Products range from Microbial Identification Systems, Pipette Calibration, Culture Collection of Microorganisms, Quality Analysis kits, as well as Rapid microbial Method systems to name but a few used in the NHS and/or Private Healthcare.

Experience of Territory Manager:

  • Extensive experience of working in a clinical sales environment, ideally Laboratory based Quality Control/Assurance (Microbiology/Pathology)
  • Proven track record in achieving sales forecasts and profitability targets
  • Educated or equivalent in work experience within a scientific discipline, ideally biomedical science or Microbiology
  • Self-driven to work alone with a clear focus
  • Experience in the NHS and/or Private Healthcare

Responsibilities of Territory Manager:

  • To prioritise, plan and execute sales activities so as to deliver outstanding business results, this includes actively prospecting new business leads and optimal management of existing accounts.
  • New business development is key so researching and targeting potential new customers via cold calling/web based prospecting is critical to developing new leads
  • Effective management of existing accounts by maintaining excellent customer relationships, adding value and seeking opportunities for further portfolio usage.
  • Expertly demonstrate and present products in a highly impactful manner ensuring customers fully appreciate the value of the portfolio.
  • Works closely with the Divisional Sales Manager to establish & review sales & business activity targets and conducts regular forecasts to ensure targets are met/exceeded in line with the company objectives.
  • Develop well-thought-out account & territory Business Plans in line with company strategy and regularly reviews progress against those plans adjusting tactics as required to deliver outstanding results
  • Ensures that agreed revenue and margin targets are achieved.
  • Ensures that all stages in the sales process including all relevant customer/account/quotation details are recorded on the CRM System
  • Liaises with the SOP/Tech Op's teams to ensure smooth turnaround of capital Sales and installations (IQ/OQ).
