Summary

A leading manufacturer of high tech microscopes is now seeking a Final Test Engineer to join their busy test department in the set-up, calibration and testing of Scanning Electron Microscopes.

The role

You will be joining the Testing Department as a Final Test Engineer. Your role will be to take the
Scanning Electron Microscopes from assembly and test them to ensure they are ready for product dispatch.

In summary this means;
Setting up the Scanning Electron Microscope systems (electromechanical).
Follow the established calibration procedures (mainly computer based, some mechanical).
Check the various test points to ensure the machines are functioning properly.
Ensure that agreed deadlines and manufacturing targets are met.

Working hours are Mon - Fri, 7.15am - 4.15p based full time at the manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire.

This is a 6 months contract offering a max rate of £15.74/hr PAYE or £20.69/hr Umbrella (LTD Company not accepted as this role is Inside IR35).

What experience is required?

Essential:
Experience as a test engineer working on electro/mechanical or electronic devices (applicants with mechanical test experience alone will not be accepted).
Need to be Basic DBS clearable.
Must be able to work well as part of a team.

Beneficial:
Engineering qualification in any discipline OR related A-Levels (Physics, Science, Maths)
Experience or an understanding of working in a clean room environment
