TEST ENGINEER

Cambourne, Cambridgeshire

12 month rolling contract £15.74 p/h (PAYE)/£19.50 p/h (umbrella)

Due to growth and expansion, a leading manufacturer of optical systems and industrial measurement and medical devices are seeking an experienced test engineer to join their expanding team.

This is a temporary rolling contract for initially 6 months and is paying a rate of £15.74 per hour (PAYE)/£19.50 p per hour (umbrella). This is inside IR35.

Hours are Mon - Fri - 40hr working week. 7.15am - 4.15pm (can be flex on start/finish).

The role - Test Engineer - Cambridge

Key accountabilities:

• Instrument Test role working on Scanning Electron Microscopes.

• Set the systems up

• Follow calibration procedures (mainly computer based, some mechanical)

• Check the test points ensuring each machine is functioning properly

• Pack the system and ship.

Skills/experience required:

• Previous test experience on electronic or electro/mechanical products/hardware

• Qualification ideally BTEC/HNC/apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Electro-Mechanical Engineering OR A Level Physics, Science and Mathematics with the above experience.

• Need to be Basic DBS clearable and willing to do an airline security course.
