Test Engineer

Based in Buckinghamshire

£25,000 - £32,000 plus pension

An established Marine/Defence company that has been going on over 100 years needs a Test Engineer. They specialise in designing and manufacturing electrical switching and control products for the marine industry. You will be provided training on all their products, and they can support any development needs you may have. The company also has an excellent working space as they have just newly refurbished their offices to ensure a good working environment. As well as being in the office you will have a chance to travel and that could be across the UK or even worldwide!

The Role - Test Engineer - Buckinghamshire

In this role you will be inspecting and verifying the assembly of my clients' products and then conducting various types of testing both electrical and mechanical ensuring that you follow the test procedures.

Responsibilities (Not limited):

  • Updating and writing new/existing test procedures based on test results
  • Improving the operation and documentation of the test department
  • Conducting fault finding activities to estimate repair cost of faulty equipment
  • Installation and commission work on different ships and submarines
  • Functional testing both electrical and mechanical
  • Electrical safety tests and PAT testing

Experience/Skills - Test Engineer - Buckinghamshire

  • Degree qualified in electrical/electronic discipline or substantial experience
  • Worked in manufacturing/engineering environment before
  • Strong test and inspecting experience with electrical equipment
  • Good communication and IT skills
