Permanent up to £40,000

An interesting opportunity has just come on to the market with a leading supplier of Electronics and Electro-mechanical products/systems for the defence industry. My client who designs and manufactures complex specialist electronics are in need of a Test Engineer. You will be joining the test department and be responsible for conducting factory acceptance test on their equipment and products

Key Responsibilities - Test Engineer - West Sussex

• Conduct Factory Acceptance tests using different workshop test equipment (Power supplies, digital multi meters and oscilloscopes
• Understand the customer requirements to be able to create test procedures and factory acceptance testing documents
• Fault finding of Electro-mechanical equipment
• Read engineering drawings and wiring/PCB schematics
• Ensure the products meet quality and technical standards

Key Skills/Experience needed for the role:

• HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering discipline (Ideally in electronics)
• Strong knowledge of manual testing of electrical and electro-mechanical systems
• Ability to write test plans and factory acceptance tests
• Experience with manual test and integration
• Computer literate
