We design and manufacture high power electronic and microwave systems to operate reliably in the harshest environments. As a Test Engineer you will carry out duties relating the testing and fault finding of High Voltage Power Supplies, RF testing of Travelling Tubes, Travelling Tube Amplifiers, Microwave Power Modules, Power Amplifier Modules.

Key accountabilities - Test Engineer

+ Testing High Voltage Switch Mode Power Supplies and Travelling Wave Tubes having output voltages of up to 35kV.

+ Fault Finding High Voltage Power Supplies down to component level.

+ Producing effective evaluation reports which are technically accurate and commercially astute.

+ Testing to both commercial and military specifications as required.

+ Carrying out of RF testing on S, C, X, Ku and millimetric band TWTs.

+ Carrying out tests on TWTAs of using Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, RF Power Meters, RF Signal Generators, Pulse Generators etc.

+ Carrying out Environmental Stress Screening tests, including vibration, altitude and operational temperature cycling.

+ Working as part of a team and liaising with other departments when required.

+ Maintaining adequate work records.

+ Ensuring that all manufacturing related activities conform to Health and Safety requirements.

Skills and qualifications - Test Engineer

+ Ability to supervise staff and work as a team.

+ RF/TWT Test/High Voltage/Switched Mode Power Supply work experience

+ Suitable Mechanical Engineering/ RF qualifications
