Working for the UK's leading Children's Charity, you will join a brand new team, integrating fully and enjoy delivering a high class service at the very launch of the project.
Opened just last week, this children's home offers children with learning difficulties, challenging behaviour and complex health a short breaks, respite service for a few days per week. Providing a stimulating, warm and comfortable home, the children and young people enjoy outings and activities, enabling them to reach their full potential.
As a Waking Night Support Worker you will be responsible for the welfare of the children whilst they sleep during the night time. Other duties may include:
+ Perform regular checks during the night
+ Respond to and act accordingly to a child's needs should they wake
+ Carry out general house duties such as ironing, cleaning, preparing meals for breakfast
+ Completing paperwork which reports how the child slept - following care plans at all times
+ If required, carry out toileting and personal care needs
+ Deliver a handover at the start and end of each shift
Working hours are between the hours of 21.00 and 07.00. You will deliver 37 hours per week and will occasionally have to attend day time meetings and training.
