Workshop Manager

Medical Devices (Endoscopy) - No previous experience in this are required

Up to £40,000 basic + benefits - Monday - Friday (40hrs per week)

Based in Southend-On -Sea, Essex

A highly reputable organisation specialising in the supply and maintenance services of highly complex medical endoscopy equipment are seeking an experienced manager to head up their workshop in Southend.

Whilst it is sit based there will be the occasional travel to customer sites across the UK.

The role - Workshop Manager

The Endoscopy Workshop manager will be responsible for the management of the Endoscopy repair operations, encompassing minor/major repair, stock control, incoming & final inspection and Sub-assembly.

You will also ensure that all operational KPIs are met and resources are managed to meet the needs of our customers and the wider business.

Key accountabilities:

  • Oversee receipt, repair and dispatch of flexible endoscopes from other OEMs

  • Reporting to senior management on KPIs, P&L etc.

  • Looking at Process improvement

  • Ensuring employees are adhering to quality standards and regulations

  • Managing a team of up to 46 engineers/technician

  • Effective collaboration with all operational business functions - eg service engineering, procurement, finance

  • Liaison with and support of Business Development personnel and activities

Experience/skills required - Workshop Manager

  • Must have proven experience of managing a team within a technical engineering environment e.g. Engineering Manager, EBME Manager, Technical Manager, Maintenance Manager, Equipment Manager etc.

  • Worked in a process driven environment

  • Excellent communication both written and verbal

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK (hold a UK passport or current visa with no work restrictions)
