I am looking for someone who can:

  • Interaction with senior client stakeholder

  • Leads SAP solution delivery in a functional/ technical area/ Develops, delivers and documents the technical solution

  • Delivers the solution in line within the planned cost

  • Complies with governance process

  • Works with clients and functional leads when required e.g. to deliver workshops

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and delivers and Data Migration design for Data Migration Work stream

  • Has knowledge of the SAP ECC solution and can converts the business scope into technical solutions.

  • The DM lead consultant has ownership of the technical area deliverables and day-to-day management of technical area. They must be able to work with the project manager to develop and manage scope, resources schedule, and feed into the business case of project - bottom up.

  • The DM lead consultant is responsible to analyse the functional requirements, develop the data migration technical design; Realize/Check the technical design; Test and document the technical design.

  • They will implement or guide the best shore teams in implementing the technical solutions.

  • They may be requested to conduct workshops and presentations to validate technical design with the project team / Super user community.

Essential Skills:

Has broad experience in the ECC logistics and Finance modules of SAP
Has worked on SAP Data Migration projects in the past, preferably in a lead role.
Must speak and write fluent English and have demonstrated experience writing Functional Specs
Experience following the ASAP methodology
ABAP and LSMW development experience

Technical Author candidates will be expected to:
Create new user Work Instructions based on engineering data.
Revise existing Work Instructions based on new capability projects, updated engineering data and/or in-service observations.
Research all documentation updates thoroughly and discuss all issues with the relevant stakeholders.
Create clear graphics, illustrations and screenshots.
Seek peer to peer QA reviews and submit documents for SME/Test/Trial Technical Verification activities.
Discuss and input to team-wide debates on issues and improvement initiatives to deliver a consistent deliverable.

Technical Author candidates must be able to:
Write clear, concise procedural instructions for a variety of users.
Understand and comply with QA and Technical Verification procedures.
Take complex design documentation and translate this into fit-for-purpose user documents.
Be both a team worker and have the ability to work on their own.
Produce documents using the Microsoft Office 2010 suite of applications.
Create and adapt screenshots, graphics and illustrations.
Communicate and work with all stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.

World leading IT company are looking for an SC Cleared Technical Author for an initial 6 month contract based in Hook. For this role you must hold current SC Clearance. Although this role is in an IT environment we are not looking for an engineer, this person must firstly be a Technical Author.

Essential Skills:

+ This is a system integration project therefore programme is to integrate the infrastructure with GFE components and this role is to write effective associated System Management Manuals.  

+ Knowledge and understanding of IT systems including basic architectural principles, standard methods of operation, system administration tasks and equipment/system connectivity.

+ System administrator knowledge of MS Windows Server 2003/2008 and/or MS Exchange 2010.

+ Experience of technical authorship within an IT/Government environment with an onus on customer deliverable manuals.

+ Ability to pro-actively gather information from developers/designers.
