An exciting new Service Engineering opportunity is now available within an industry leading provider of medical imaging systems.

Training is provided and so this employer offers a rare opportunity for engineers with no medical experience to break into the much sought after medical field.

Through organic growth along with the acquisition of other companies, you would be joining this organisation during an exciting period of expansion.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer you would be part of the Service Engineering team carrying out installations, planned and reactive maintenance as well as break down repair work on a range of medical imaging systems such as MRIs, CTs, X-Rays and Ultrasounds.

You would be responsible for managing customers assigned to you, hospitals, predominantly in the South West of England. However, as with any field based role, flexibility to travel further afield will be required on occasions should this be required by the wider team and business.

The Location

This role will predominantly involve travel in and around the South West of England, ideally living in and around the Bristol/Bath/Yeovil areas. However, flexibility to travel is essential.

Training

Training is provided. This employer regularly hires engineers from non-medical industries who have transferable electro-mechanical repair and software installation/upgrade skills.

Therefore, a comprehensive, "tried and tested" training plan is in place to ensure you are well supported and appropriately upskilled.

The Package

  • £37,000 - £40,000 per year basic salary
  • Company car or £5,400 car allowance
  • Paid overtime (x1.5 Mon- Fri, x2 Sun/BH)

  • Hours are Monday - Friday 43.5 hrs including travel

What experience is required to apply?

  • Strong electro-mechanical service, fault finding and repair skills
  • Experience with software installations or upgrades
  • Excellent customer service and team work skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • An enjoyment of driving and flexibility to travel as part of a field based role
  • Living within a reasonable distance of Bristol/Bath/Yeovil
