We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth within a major energy-sector client account. The successful candidate will bring a strong, established network and the credibility to engage senior stakeholders, open doors and create meaningful business opportunities.
This is a relationship-led role focused on strengthening senior relationships, identifying new opportunities and expanding the organisation's footprint across the account. The ideal candidate will be highly connected, commercially minded and confident navigating a complex enterprise organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage an established network to identify and unlock new business opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives, decision makers and key influencers.
- Facilitate senior-level introductions between client stakeholders and internal leadership, delivery teams and SMEs.
- Identify opportunities to expand the organisation's footprint across existing and new areas.
- Develop a strong understanding of the client's strategic priorities, challenges and investment areas.
- Navigate complex organisational structures to identify influencers, sponsors and decision makers.
- Work closely with sales, account leadership and delivery teams to execute account growth plans.
- Develop opportunities from initial engagement through to qualified pipeline.
- Provide market and account intelligence to anticipate future client requirements.
- Position the organisation as a trusted strategic partner and increase awareness of its capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Established senior network within a major enterprise or energy-sector organisation.
- Proven ability to engage and influence C-suite and senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong track record in business development, account growth and relationship-led selling.
- Experience expanding an organisation's footprint within a major strategic account.
- Strong understanding of complex organisational structures and decision-making processes.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to align client challenges with relevant solutions and capabilities.
- Confident executive-level communicator with strong influencing skills.
- Ability to mobilise internal leadership, delivery teams and subject matter experts around opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of the energy sector, including technology, transformation and business priorities.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial and results-focused, with a clear track record of building pipeline and generating revenue.
