Delivery Lead

Sheffield / Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite

£460 per day inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to join a large-scale enterprise technology environment, leading the successful delivery of complex business and technology initiatives.

This is a senior delivery role requiring strong leadership, stakeholder management and governance experience, with responsibility for coordinating multiple teams, workstreams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology and business initiatives.
• Develop and manage delivery plans, roadmaps, milestones and dependencies.
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, ensuring effective mitigation.
• Coordinate delivery across business, technology, architecture, infrastructure, security and operational teams.
• Drive effective governance, reporting and assurance processes.
• Provide clear delivery updates to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Lead steering committees, governance meetings, workshops and senior-level forums.
• Manage resources, capacity, budgets and financial forecasting.
• Coordinate third-party suppliers and technology partners.
• Monitor delivery performance through KPIs and management information.
• Ensure delivery complies with relevant governance, risk and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and ways of working.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Delivery Lead, Programme Delivery Manager, Senior Project Manager, Programme Manager or similar.
• Strong experience delivering complex technology or business transformation programmes.
• Excellent understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with senior and executive stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience managing complex dependencies across multiple teams and functions.
• Strong governance, risk, issue and dependency management experience.
• Experience with budgets, forecasting, resource management and delivery reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex enterprise environment.

Desirable

• Financial services or banking experience.
• Experience delivering regulatory, risk, cybersecurity, data or digital transformation programmes.
• Experience within highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise technology, cloud, infrastructure or enterprise applications.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers.
• IT service management / operational framework knowledge.
• Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2, PMP, MSP or equivalent certification.
