Field Service Engineer - Medical Equipment
Location: North & East London
Salary: £35,000 + Commission + Company Vehicle

A manufacturer of medical sterilisation equipment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across North and East London.

The company produces autoclaves, which are used to steam-sterilise instruments such as surgical tools, dental equipment and needles so they can be safely reused. Their customers include hospitals, dental practices, GP surgeries and other clinical environments.

This is a field-based role focused on installing, maintaining and repairing equipment while delivering a high level of customer support. Full training on the equipment and systems will be provided, making this a good opportunity for engineers looking to move into the medical equipment sector.

The Role

  • Installation, servicing and repair of autoclaves at customer sites

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out preventative maintenance

  • Providing professional customer support while on site

  • Occasional sales of consumables and equipment during customer visits (commission available)

  • Managing service visits across North and East London

Requirements

  • Engineering or technical experience (electrical, mechanical or similar)

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Ideally based in or near North or East London

  • £35,000 salary

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • 37.5 hours per week including travel (door-to-door)

  • Some days may be longer depending on jobs, balanced with shorter days where possible.
