£31,250 - Monday - Friday - 37.5hrs per week
A leading, reputable provider of medical engineering services is seeking a Graduate/Trainee Biomedical Engineer to cover a number of customer sites within the London area.
As the graduate engineer, you will be maintaining and repairing medical diagnostic imaging equipment e.g. ultrasounds, x-rays and potential to move onto MRIs, CT scanners in future.
The role will predominantly be covering London but whilst training there will be regular travel to their HQ in Berkshire. You will need to be flexible to travel elsewhere in UK to shadow other engineers for training. This role is a very customer facing role, often visiting customer sites even when there is no engineering work, but to build/maintain customer relationships.
The expectation is most of travel will be via public transport but if you have access to your own car for other UK travel that would be beneficial, but not essential. You will be able to expense any travel costs back.
Key accountabilities will include:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines
Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines
Complete all associated administrative work
Provide customer support when required
Maintain service documentation
Maintain tools and test equipment
Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment
Experience/skills required:
Confident working in a customer facing
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Right to work in the UK
