We're looking for an experienced Java Developer to join an established engineering team working on a large-scale public sector service.

You'll be part of a busy team with a strong pipeline of work, developing and enhancing critical applications using Java and PL/SQL. The role offers the opportunity to work across both development languages, build knowledge of a complex existing service and potentially become involved in future modernisation activity.

Key Skills

• Strong commercial experience with Java
• Strong PL/SQL and Oracle experience
• Ability to work flexibly across Java and PL/SQL
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to learn quickly and understand complex systems
• Strong communication and team-working skills
• BPSS clearance

Desirable

• Previous CESA / Self Assessment experience
• SC clearance
• COBOL experience
• Experience working within large-scale public sector or enterprise environments
• Agile development experience
