JUNIOR BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER

Location: Site-based (Hospital environment - London)
Contract: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Biomedical Engineer to join a well-established healthcare engineering team, providing on-site medical device repair, preventative maintenance and asset management within a hospital setting.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support against contractual KPIs while building strong working relationships with clinical staff, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure a responsive and reliable service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) on medical equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Diagnose and complete repairs on a range of medical devices
  • Support the Site Manager / Team Leader in achieving contractual KPIs
  • Provide responsive technical support to minimise disruption to hospital operations
  • Complete all service-related administration accurately and on time
  • Maintain service documentation in line with business and regulatory requirements
  • Manage spare parts stock where required
  • Plan and complete assigned workloads within agreed timescales
  • Maintain safe working practices within a clinical environment
  • Maintain tools and test equipment to required standards
  • Liaise with OEM service staff and management when required

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics or Medical Technologies (e.g. Biomedical Engineering)
  • 6 months - 1 years UK-based experience carrying service/repair work on medical equipment
