Job title: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Rate: Up to £650 per day inside IR35
Location: Reading / Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
Contract: 6-month rolling contract

Active SC Clearances required

I'm recruiting for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading UK defence company working on a major submarine project.

The programme is undertaking a significant on-premise to cloud migration, and we're looking for an experienced infrastructure specialist who can take ownership across the design, build and deployment of cloud infrastructure.

What you'll bring

We're looking for strong hands-on experience across:

• Cloud infrastructure design, build and deployment
• Enterprise VMware / vSphere / ESXi / vCenter
• NSX / NSX-T
• On-premise to cloud migration
• Hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Infrastructure architecture and implementation
• Cloud platform integration and transformation
• vSAN, HCX and/or VMware Aria would be advantageous

This isn't a standard BAU infrastructure position. You'll be working on a high-profile defence programme, helping deliver a complex infrastructure transformation supporting a strategically important submarine capability.
