We are looking for an SC Cleared Technical Architect to join a major programme delivering secure, mission-critical communications systems. This role is hybrid, with a mix of home working and time on site in Bristol collaborating with engineering teams and customers.

The Role

As Technical Architect, you will act as the technical authority for complex systems and services, leading the design of secure architectures and guiding engineering teams through key design decisions. A strong understanding of 3GPP technical standards is essential, as this role supports advanced communications and mission-critical technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority across systems and services.

• Design and evolve secure, scalable architectures aligned to customer requirements and secure-by-design principles.

• Lead technical reviews, trade-off analysis, and risk assessments.

• Contribute to technology roadmaps and innovation initiatives.

• Mentor and support engineers and architects within the technical community.

• Represent the organisation at technical boards, customer meetings, and industry forums.

• Support solution design, bids, and proposals for new opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance (or eligibility).

• Strong understanding of 3GPP technical standards - this is a key requirement for the role.

• Proven experience designing system and service architectures across infrastructure, networking, cloud, data, or applications.

• Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, MODAF, or NAF.

• Strong understanding of secure system design and cyber security principles.

• Experience delivering architecture within Agile or SAFe environments.
