Assistant Project Manager

An Engineering firm is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their diverse and award winning programme management team. Provide management and oversight for a number of smaller projects and support to larger programmes, including:

Define the project objectives, determine communication to internal resources and allocate tasks.
Identify requirements for company resources.
Provide forecasting and assist in prioritising deliveries for production
Support preparation of Statements of Work and proposals, including generation of all labour hours, hardware requirements and project cost data. Assist in contract negotiations
Support global business - production, development opportunities and exhibitions
Provide technical guidance and oversight to other disciplines within the project, including customers and suppliers
Support risk management processes
Schedule management - manage the programme schedule internally; plan and organise what is required and when, acting as the customer interface.
We are looking for a Degree educated professional with some experience in Project Engineering or Project Management that is looking to continue their progression with cutting edge and exciting programmes.

Skills needed:
Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
Project management appreciation and understanding of engineering disciplines (design/test/manufacturing).
Experience of multi-faceted, externally facing negotiations.
Risk Management techniques and their application.
managing customer interface
Relationship building/interpersonal skill-set
Planning, organising and administration/project management skill; proficient in MS Office (Excel and Project).
