The Opportunity

Due to continued growth we require an experienced Bid Manager to join our Cyber Security Division and increase our market share in supporting, securing and realising the benefits of resilient digital transformation to the UK and other nations, specifically where safety, security of business critical systems operate in complex environments.

This is a great opportunity to bring your talents and form an integral part of our future taking responsibility for bids within a business area to deliver a full range of systems and solutions for complex and mission critical environments where the security of systems and facilities are paramount.

You will be a key member of the capture team, playing a leading role in developing and testing bid strategy and driving bid teams to produce winning bids and proposals using best practice.

What you will do

You will take responsibility for responses to Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, Request for Information and routine and follow on bids.

Typical Accountabilities will include:

  • Build and manage relationships with internal / external stakeholders to ensure all bids are prepared, managed and reviewed appropriately and in line with policies and standards.

  • Work with all functions to ensure they engage early on key pursuits and deploy the right resources for the task against business priorities

  • Translate and apply the appropriate strategy for managing bids in order to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities within the bid

  • Participate in Bid Strategy Development.

  • Schedule and plan LCM, Design and Proposal Reviews

  • Plan, lead and challenge cost build up and pricing effort.

  • Work with bid team to identify risk and develop mitigation plans.

  • Plan and manage bid spend to deliver bids on budget.

  • Manage the proposal document development process - win themes, outlining, storyboarding, graphics and writing.

  • Drive the Bid approval process and ensure that the appropriate level of Bid Approval is obtained.

  • Ensure the on-time delivery of a high quality Proposal with consistent messages and win themes

What we are looking for

We are looking for an individual with experience of Bid Process, tools and techniques. Role holders will be required to engage and influence Integrated Project Teams and bid strategy in order to ensure effective implementation of a consistent bid process to deliver compelling proposals that win work in line with agreed contractual agreements and customer expectations.
