Bid Manager - Remote 9-12 month Fixed term contract

We continue to support our client who offer excellence in Cyber Security, Assurance and Monitoring Services, with a renowned track record of succeeding where others have failed. Our client have created a "one-stop shop" for all things cyber and are working to build a centre of excellence for our customers by building an amazing place to work, learn and develop. They have a diverse range of clients including large Governmental departments as well as a wide range of businesses within the private sector! We're looking for a Bid Manager to join the team for a fixed term of 9-12 months to help us continue to grow and add value to our clients.

The Role:

As a Bid Manager, you'll play a key role in the growth of our business as we continue to innovate and add more services and solutions to our product portfolio. You'll ensure that potential and existing client opportunities follow an effective bid management process through to delivery. You'll be responsible for the quality, delivery and continuous improvement of the entire Bid Management process.

You'll use your relationship building and project management skills to create cross-functional Virtual Bid Teams that deliver results. As a team, we're always looking to raise the bar, learn new things and incorporate new technologies and you will too! You'll share your knowledge with the team and the wider community, contributing to Group blogs and undertaking research related to technology enhancements.


  • Work to a defined tender, governance and contract management processes/guidelines

  • Support continuous improvement by collating and maintaining feedback and learnings from submitted tenders

  • Manage and maintain the group tender repository for the re-use of material

  • Coordinating incoming bid requests and proposal responses by initiating and managing virtual bid support teams.

  • Identify competitor strengths and weaknesses to ensure we remain in line or ahead of our competition.

  • Responsible for the collation of material and pulling together supporting documentation

  • Responsible for the management of bid template documentation

  • Manage and maintain OLA's throughout the bid process

  • Manage and maintain the companies preferred suppliers' lists (PSL)

  • Work with and support the Solutions Technical Lead throughout the procurement process

  • Manage, update and track the company CRM databases regularly, set up customer profiles in appropriate databases and maintain customer information in line with GDPR and other regulatory guidelines.

  • Act as a coach for Virtual Bid Teams ensuring that they work intuitively and collaboratively throughout the bid process

  • Act as a mentor to Solutions Technical Lead

  • Ensure we are enrolled on all relevant Government and private commercial frameworks, managing all renewals

  • Actively seek out opportunities on Government and private commercial frameworks

  • Established and maintain good working networks with internal stakeholders

  • Achieve KPI's and objectives as set by the Executive team

  • PRINCE2 or other relevant Project Management qualification
