BMS Sales Engineer - BMS / HVAC Controls / Switchgear Berkshire, Slough

Our client is renowned for designing bespoke electrical control panels and is now expanding into custom BMS control
systems. Catering to a diverse range of industry sectors, they have evolved into an organization that provides leading
edge solutions. They are now looking to recruit a BMS Sales Engineer to join their team.
To succeed as a BMS Sales Engineer you must have experience in the Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning controls of commercial / industrial buildings. The ideal candidate would also have experience in switchgear panels / develop there understanding of switchgear and of frequency inverters. - variable speed drives. In addition, selling experience of
Building Management Systems (BMS) systems is preferred with an existing customer base and be capable of cold calling to new clients and generate sales possibly in new markets (end user business, contractors, building services consultants etc).
The candidate must be competent and lucid at all levels and demonstrate an ability to be imaginative in their approach.
We would also like to increase sales within our BMS maintenance division.
It will be necessary that the candidate is able to undertake estimating and quote all of their own enquiries and assist with enquiries given to them. The sales engineer will be expected to work to tight deadlines in order meet client proposal dates and also to meet pre-defined sales/profit targets, provide daily / weekly reports detailing customer attendance, sales forecasts etc.
You must also have the following:
- Trend BMS systems ie IQ Vision / IQ4 / IQX series with IP networking experience
- HVAC controls and plant experience
- Electrical knowledge of 400v systems: 3 phase 400v motors, 1 phase motors -
- knowledge preferably of switchgear motor control center's / control panels
Additionally, as a sales engineer must be PC literate and have the ability to work alone and also be a team player with
It is essential that the candidate be able to time manage a weekly diary and be in regular contact with the director to
mutually agree strategies and performance
This role would also suit a junior engineer with only 1/2 years experience wishing to develop their career further.
Although not essential, any of the following would be beneficial:
- experience of Honeywell, Johnson, TAC, Siemens controls
