Business Development Engineer- Defence

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development professional to join a global leading defence manufacturing company. This internal / office based role will offer the right candidate high levels of job security with an already established and ever growing company.

Main Role & Responsibilities:

+ Evaluate and identify market trends, new business opportunities for long term strategic targeting

+ Develop new business leads by proactive engagement, networking with and creating long term relationships with key industry prime contractors, government department and end users

+ Manage all Business Development pursuits, with clear responsibilities and accountability for UK, Western Europe and any othe regions subsequently appointed, through effective communication with cross functional staff, business area leads, consultants, representatives and corporate engaged parties

+ Represent the company and Business Aeea is cross site BD activities and initiatives

Ideally you will have:

+ Degree or equivalent in related subject - desirable but not necessary

+ Experience in the aerospace/defence industry

+ Proven track record having demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding new business development award targets

+ Experience of UK, USA and Foreign MODs, Defence procurement contracting practices
