Buyer - Oxfordshire

A Buyer with Planning experience is required to join a Customer centric team working for a global manufacturer of scientific instrumentation equipment.

Role: Buyer

As Buyer you will be responsible for:

+ Planning customer sales orders - generation of customer delivery dates

+ Responsible for maintaining the ERP data
+ Responsible for generating and management of purchase order information
+ Responsible for processing buy requests
+ Responsible for the creation of part numbers and BOM's from sales order data
+ Managing supplier performance in line with the supply chain strategy
+ Managing inventory efficiently in line with business and customer requirements

As Buyer you will have experience of:

+ Ideally a relevant Planning & Purchasing qualification or membership of a relevant institute
+ Proficient in handling supplier contracts, materials & planning, negotiation and supplier relationship management
+ Excellent knowledge of ERP part number and BOM set-up and maintenance
+ Excellent knowledge and experience of inventory management
+ Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite including Outlook
+ Planning & process improvement skills
+ Previous experience working in and Engineering/Manufacturing environment
