The role:

An Integration Test and Transition team has been set up to support the integration of services from multiple providers into a live Defence network; to provide an independent end-to-end Test and Validation Service; and to manage the transition of service providers in or out of the future MOD 'defence as a platform' supply chain model.

The role reports to the Test Lead and as part of the Capability will work with the Authority Change Management function to ensure that all Change test requirements are captured, scoped, defined, and incorporated into the Forward Schedule of Test.

This is a delivery focussed, hands on Change Test role that requires the ability to:

  • engage, consult and guide to ensure that test requirements for Change are captured, scoped, defined in such a way that this helps projects go live quickly and efficiently

  • ensure Change Test requirements and test activity are reflected in the Forward Schedule of Test (FST)

  • ensure Change test activity is reflected in and prioritised alongside Project Test.

+ Essential Skills

    1. Experience of the Test Lifecycle particularly regarding small changes, within a multi-programme, multi technology environment.

    2. Risk management, working with stakeholders enabling them to make informed decisions about implementing changes with known risk

    3. Experience of Release, Implementation and Warranty

    4. Able to develop and use informative methods of presenting test metrics and measures across disparate portfolios of work

    5. Experience of delivering in a formal process framework.

    6. Understand the impact of change on the end user

    7. Strong influencing skills.

    8. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

    9. Experience of working with third party suppliers

    10. Commands respect for knowledge, experience and excellence within the specific area of test processes, procedures metrics and measures.

    11. Flexible and able to respond to new information without disrupting the benefits of making changes.
