Commissioning Engineer
Up to £40,000 + company car
UK wide - Medical Equipment
A global leading manufacturer of medical sterilisation equipment such as autoclaves, washer disinfectors and endoscope re-processors are seeking and experience senior field service engineer/commissioning engineer to carry out commissioning projects across the UK.
The role will cover the whole of the UK working on commissioning projects focused on their large autoclaves.
Whilst the work is Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) you will be required to stay away from home up to 4 nights a week, therefore you must be flexible to travel.
Duties include:
Carry out commissioning of equipment to the relevant standards under the terms and conditions of the client's contract.
Build excellent customer relations, demonstrating great interpersonal skills in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
Carry out electrical/mechanical fault finding of equipment.
Carry out calibration of equipment.
Produce all required documentation for submission to customers in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with all UK functions and company sites ensuring that any problems which may compromise the successful completion of hand over of equipment are rectified with minimal impact to project timelines.
Ensure regular contact with the sales team and project manager for the associated project.
Report all faulty equipment or equipment out of calibration to the projects commissioning team manager. Ensuring the company equipment is being used and correctly looked after and is kept is a safe condition.
Ensure that correct returns and non-conformance report procedures are followed.
Ensure an excellent line of communication with customers, prioritising and organising a continuously changing workload.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines using PPE where required.
Effective problem solving using initiative and logical approach
Attend Factory Acceptance Tests when required.
Report immediately any site down time to the Project Manager to allow a decision to be made whether it is chargeable or not.
Skills required:
Must have experience working on similar equipment (autoclaves, steam sterilisers, washer disinfectors etc. and ideally be certified to carry out annual and quarterly testing (HTM 2010 or equivalent)
