We design and manufacture high power electronic and microwave systems to operate reliably in the harshest environments. Test and Development Engineers work closely with the specialist design engineers to support the design, development and test activities as part of the new product development team.

Key accountabilities - Electronics Test Engineer

+ Support specialist Electronics Design Engineers to build and test breadboard circuits and prototypes through to pre-production units

+ Responsible for producing test plans, procedures and test reports for First Article Testing in line with customer expectations

+ Working closely with the mechanical, electrical and production engineers to define and document design changes

+ Supporting the Engineering team in the preparation of proposals and cost estimates

+ Review customer product requirement specifications and work statements to provide supporting commentaries and information for proposals

Skills and knowledge require - Electronics Test Engineer

+ BTEC level 4/5, HND or BSc qualification in Physics or Electrical / Electronics Engineering

+ Experience and knowledge of power electronics and / or RF microwave power amplifiers and associated test and measurement equipment.

+ Awareness of electrical safety requirements and potential hazards. Knowledge of defence industry design, development and manufacturing processes and standards.

+ Knowledge of military EMC requirements and implementation techniques.
