Engineering Apprentice (Quality Assurance)

We are looking to recruiting a candidate who is bright; motivated; keen to learn; trustworthy and energetic! This is a very exciting opportunity and an ideal role for someone to who is just starting out in their career who has a keen eye and interest in quality in a manufacturing and engineering environment.

Working with us will enable you to develop and gain experience in the ideas that are behind some of the most advanced technologies in the world. You will also get a chance to work alongside highly experienced engineers, technicians and scientists.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BTEC Level 3 in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent level of experience together with some further education in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering will be considered.

Main Accountabilities

We would provide all of the training and support required to develop the successful candidate

  • Working in a well-disciplined, structured, and professional manner at all times

  • Understand and meet all relevant KPI's that allow provides us to have a holistic view of product and process quality.

  • Support manufacturing issues alongside the Product Quality Engineer or Product Engineer to further establish root cause and resolution.

  • Support the delivery of an effective communications strategy for improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments.

  • Monitor, drive progression and report status of Product Returns

  • Review/ improve existing Quality assurance processes.

  • Support customer QA audits for the assigned product vertical.

  • Organise regular reviews with functional leads to identify and execute short, medium- and long-term improvement plans.

  • Aiding the Head of QA in the preparation of the business in readiness for ISO9001:2015 external audits

  • Supporting other Quality activities
