An international manufacturer and supplier of specialist cancer and antibody research technology is now recruiting for a Service Engineering Supervisor.
With over 25 years of expertise in researching immune system disorders, this organisation today has over 750 employees and services over 3,000 customers across 80 counties internationally.
Your role as the Service Engineering Supervisor will involve hands on technical engineering of a specialist range of oncology and immunology analysers and instrumentation, along with day-to-day managerial responsibilities of a team of Field Service Engineers.
The Service Engineering Supervisor will be based at their HQ 4 days' a week and with the other day out in the field supporting engineers. Therefore, you must be commutable to the West Midlands.
Key accountabilities - Service Engineering Supervisor - West Midlands
Co-ordinate daily activities and ensure service level standards are being adhered to
Write, check, approve and update service documents as required
Be responsible for the supervision of a team of 8 engineers
Deliver training to service engineers (internal and external)
Take responsibility for supporting staff formally and informally
Attend training courses
Coordinate daily activities of engineers (scheduling, allocation of work, training courses)
To ensure compliance to regulations and policies relating to SOP's and health and safety
To liaise with all staff to ensure effective and meaningful communication
On occasions be involved in installations, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of medical and scientific diagnostic equipment e.g. analysers
Manage the spare part inventory of engineers
What is on offer for the successful Service Engineering Supervisor?
£40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience and current earnings)
Fully expensed company vehicle
25 days holidays (increasing with length of service)
Pension (ER 6% EE 3.5%)
What is required to apply for the Service Engineering Supervisor position?
Electronics, Medical or Engineering Degree/HNC (or equivalent)
Prior Engineering experience within In-vitro Diagnostics, Medical Devices or related field
Experience managing or supervising a team of engineers
Excellent communication skills to provide exceptional customer service and deliver training
Full UK Driving Licence
Living/Commutable to the West Midlands
