Up to £35,000 + benefits

Monday - Friday, 42.5 hrs per week including travel

Must live near Bridgwater/Taunton/Yeovil

A highly reputable, leading organisation specialising in medical technology are seeking a well-rounded field service engineer who has a broad range of electrical and mechanical skills.

This organisation manufactures cutting edge technology within the medical industry, creating solutions for diagnostics and the treatment in ophthalmology and microsurgery.

Key accountabilities - Field Service Engineer - South West England

Covering a territory from South of Birmingham, Wales and whole of South West, you will provide technical services and support to customers and colleagues regarding company products and solutions. Capable of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, whilst being focussed on and fulfilling the customer's requirements and expectations.

  • Repairing, installing, and servicing medical technology equipment and software solutions

  • Able to offer support both in person and remotely

  • Accurately diagnosing and resolving technical issues relating to IT networks, servers, cloud based technologies and solutions

  • Product and software modifications, updates, FCA's etc

  • Being the point of contact for technical support to colleagues and customers

  • Ensuring engineering documentation is completed with accuracy.

  • Able to travel and stay away when required, to ensure works are carried out in the most efficient way

Experience required - Field Service Engineer - South West England

  • Service and repair engineering experienced in the medical or laboratory, security x-rays or imaging industries, or as an engineer in the military (Navy, RAF, Army/Armed Forces, Royal Marines etc.)

  • Strong IT/Networking/software knowledge e.g. software installations, routing software, networking, connecting to the cloud, working with dummy servers etc. (either professionally or as a hobby)

  • Excellent attention to detail both technically and in documentation writing

  • Good customer service skills.

Package/benefits - Field Service Engineer - South West England

  • Up to £35,000 basic

  • Monday - Friday, 42.5hr/week, including travel.

  • Up to 15% bonus - based on company and engineer performance. (Monthly reviews/support provided to help achieve bonus).
